Navy Chief Virtually Connects With Personnel Deployed In Remote Corners

 May 12: Initiating a series of interactions with Navy personnel deployed at remote locations, Navy Chief Adm R Hari Kumar spoke with the Marcos Commandos deployed at detachments across the country over video calls and stressed on being combat ready.

The Indian Navy said on Thursday. Informing about the outreach, the Navy said that the Navy Chief acknowledged the presence of personnel in vital locations and “stressed on the importance of being combat ready at all times.

” This is the first-of-its-kind initiative, aimed at connecting with the personnel deployed in remote and far-flung areas, where frequent interactions with senior officials don’t take place. The initiative will bring in a sense among those deployed in remote corners that they are not left out, a Navy source said.
