Puri, July 1 : All the three chariots carrying Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Lord Balavadra and their sister Devi Subhadra pulled by thousands of devotees reached the Gundicha temple, the final destination on Friday.
Temple sources said by 5.30 PM all the three chariots reached the Gundicha temple.
Odisha Governor Prof. Ganesi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Bisweswar Tudu and a number of Odisha ministers participated in the pulling of the chariot.
The deities will remain on their respective chariot all through the night on Friday. The temple priests will perform all nitees on the chariots till they are escorted into the sanctum sanctorum of Gundicha temple on Saturday.
