Kendrapara, Oct 27: Two persons were arrested by Aul police for their alleged involvement in a brutal attack on a local TV channel reporter Pravat Kumar Lenka on October 20 last.
The arrested persons were produced before the local court on Wednesday and the court remanded them into jail custody.
Kendrapara SP Madkar Sandeep Sampat on Wednesday said the arrested accused persons have been identified as Damodara Baral (38) of Areikana, and Bhanja Kishore Barik (48)of Nagapada under Aul police station.
Sumitra Lenka, the wife of injured Pravat Kumar Lenka, the district correspondent of Argus TV, lodged an FIR on October 21 alleging her husband was attacked for exposing illegal sand lifting.
Aul police had registered a case against 11 persons under various sections of IPC and started an inquiry, Aul police station IIC Dilip Sahu said.
He said the raid is on to nab other accused involved in the case.
