NIA To Probe Udaipur Murder
New Delhi, June 29: The Centre has asked the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe the killing of a tailor in Udaipur in Rajasthan apparently to avenge his support to a former BJP spokesperson whose remarks on the Prophet Mohammad were widely condemned.
The Home Ministry tweeted that it had directed the NIA to take over the investigation of the “brutal murder of Kanhaiya Lal Teli” on Tuesday.

The involvement of any organisation and international links in the crime will be thoroughly investigated, it said. The two men who killed the tailor and also made a film of the murder have been arrested.
