NCB Sleuths Arrest Ugandan Woman Drug Trafficker

Hyderabad, Jan 8: The officials of Bengaluru Zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a seasoned Ugandan woman drug trafficker at Hubli Railway station on Friday and seized 995 grams of Methamphetamine from her possession.
Based on specific intelligence, the NCB sleuths seized the illicit contraband from the possession of a Ugandan woman, who was travelling in a train with the drugs, NCB Bengaluru Zonal Director Amit Ghawate said in a release here.
The drug concealed in two cerelac baby food carton boxes to avoid detection and each box contained around 500 grams of Methamphetamine.
The drug was sourced from Delhi and four further distributions in Karnataka, the Zonal Director said.
With the arrest of Ugandan National by the officers of NCB, It has effectively neutralized a drug syndicate which was operating in the south regions in a unique and systematic manner.
Methamphetamine is a very potent and dangerous stimulant drug. It is commonly abused as a party drug.
