Motor-Cycle Borne Miscreants Shot Dead Bizman In Bengal

Kolkata, Feb 9 : Three motor-cycle borne miscreants have shot dead dead a businessman and looted Rs 2 lakh from him in West Bengal’s East Bardhaman, police said on Wednesday. Lottery agent Hamid Ali Khan while returning home on his two-wheeler after closing his shop was stopped on the way by three other gun held miscreants at Raina who shot him dead from point blank range around 2230 hours on Tuesday. The businessman was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bardhaman Medical College and Hospital.
The miscreants also took away his wallet, contained some Rs 2 lakh, before speeding away with their motorbike, police said. Police said they were investigating the reason of the crime. Meanwhile, Howrah police on Wednesday said they have arrested three suspects, including a cab driver, in the looting of an iron merchant at the Bellilius Road. The trio, accused of looting Rs one crore from the iron merchant on Tuesday noon. Police said they have first arrested the cab driver and then nabbed two others in the looting of the businessman on gun point.
