Srinagar, March 30: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said that it had arrested a man from Srinagar who allegedly shot dead a stray dog with his 12 bore gun. Police said that Iqbal Ahmad Dar was arrested under Animal Protection Act and an FIR 21/2022/429/IPC was registered against him at Bemina police station.
They said Dar was subsequently released on bail as it is a bailable offence. A video of Dar went viral on social media in which he is purportedly seen shooting a street dog with his 12 bore rifle on Tuesday.
