Majithia Sent To Judicial Custody Till March 8
Mohali, Feb 24: A Mohali court sent former Punjab Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal senior leader Bikram Singh Majithia in judicial custody till March 8 in a drugs case.
Earlier, the SAD leader, accompanied by the senior lawyers, appeared before the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Sandeep Kumar Singla on Thursday after expiry of his interim bail. He arrived at the court complex at 1030 hours.
Majithia informed the media that he had come to the court to comply with the directions of the Supreme Court. A bench had directed the SAD leader to surrender before the trial court after the Punjab Assembly polls on February 20.
The court allowed the Special investigation Team to interrogate Majithia for about an hour in the court complex. He was again produced before the court after interrogation.
