The victim has filed a complaint with the Badambadi police station with such grievous charges against her father. Police has detained the accused, a resident of Shankarpur area of Cuttack city.
As per the allegation, the accused, who runs a fruits shop near Jayashree Cinema Hall here, had been raping her 15-year-old daughter for the last one month. Eventually the minor gathers courage to oppose the sin and lodged a police complaint.
Cops have rescued the victim and her younger sister. The victim was sent to an orphanage here after medical examination. The girl will be produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) for further legal proceedings.
It’s pertinent to mention here that the wife of the accused had reportedly eloped with a youth, a month ago.
