Amir Khan Caught: Absconding fraudster Amir Khan arrested from UP

: The Kolkata Police have arrested absconding fraudster Amir Khan, who owned mobile game Apps e-Nugget and was accused of duping thousands of crores of rupees, from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, official sources said on Saturday.
The Directorate of Enforcement officials in raids have seized cash of Rs 17.32 crore from his Garden Reach house in the city on September 10 last.
The Cyber Crime of Kolkata Police reportedly arrested the 25-year-old absconder from a hideout at Ghaziabad on Friday.
Sources said the accused was being brought into the city on transit remand.
The federal agency on September 10 conducted searches at six locations, including Garden Reach in the Dock area.
While probing an alleged case of fraud through a mobile gaming app, the agency found Rs 17.32 crore underneath the bed of Amir Khan’s room.
” The searches were conducted under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 (on 10.09.2022) at 06 premises in Kolkata, in respect to an investigation relating to the
Mobile Gaming Application,” the ED said.
