Alwar Rape Case: Rajasthan Govt To Handover Matter To CBI
Jaipur, Jan 16 : Rajasthan government on Sunday decided to hand over the investigation in Alwar rape case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The recommendation will be sent by the state government to the Central government soon.
The decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot through video-conferencing at the Chief Minister’s residence.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Home Rajendra Singh Yadav, Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya, Additional Chief Secretary Home Abhay Kumar, Director General of Police ML Lather, Additional Director General of Police Crime Branch RP Mehra, Additional Director General of Police Security S Sengthir, Principal of SMS Medical College Sudhir Bhandari and Superintendent of JK Lone Hospital Arvind Kumar Shukla.
