Washington, Jan 26: Tesla CEO Elon Musk Elon Musk has offered to eat McDonald’s ‘Happy Meal’ on television if it accepts meme-based cryptocurrency Dogecoin as a legitimate form of payment for burgers and fries.
Musk, who is a noted Dogecoin fan, said in a tweet on Tuesday: “I will eat a happy meal on tv if McDonalds accepts Dogecoin.” In response, the fast-food giant said “only if Tesla accepts grimacecoin.” In a later tweet, it said, “How are you doing people who run crypto twitter accounts.”
Musk had earlier announced that Tesla will accept as payment for some of the company’s merchandise, New York Post reported. According to Coinbase, Tesla CEO’s latest offer has increased Dogecoin’s price more than 7 per cent to $0.14. U
