State govts should bring anti-conversion law to prevent forceful conversions : VHP

Puducherry : Vishwa Hindu Parishad Secretary General Milind Parande on Wednesday said the state governments should bring an anti-conversion law to prevent forceful conversions.

Talking to news persons here, Mr Parande said that certain important decisions were taken in the Central Committee meeting of VHP held at Faridabad in Haryana.

Presently, anti-conversion law is there in 11 states and this should be extended to all states,he said adding that Puducherry should follow the suit.

He said state governments should not claim rights on Hindu temples and legal measures should be taken to ensure that a minimum intervention of the government will be there in the case of Hindu temples.

The construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is progressing well and it will be completed by December 2023.

He also listed out the services of VHP during the Covid pandemic.
