Mamata’s MAA Scheme Under Guv’s Lens: WB Guv seeks from Finance Secy source and amount spent till March 31,2021 towards MAA scheme

Kolkata, Dec 18 : West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday sought from the Finance Secretary source and amount spent till March 31,2021, towards MAA scheme, launched by the Mamata Banerjee Government.

” Noticing unconstitutional diversion of funds #MAA Scheme @MamataOfficial till March 31,2021, WB Governor has sought from Finance Secy source & amount spent #MAA till March 31,2021, ” a Raj Bhawan tweet said.

Mr Dhankhar also wondered over former state finance minister Dr Amit Mitra’s alleged silence regarding Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) report card.

” Another revelations @DrAmitMitra. His Silence #BGBS Report Card indicates there is all to hide, ” Raj Bhawan added.

On Friday the Governor iterated that investment will flow to the state on red carpet once governance of the Mamata Banerjee Government falls in the groove of rule of law with due regard to human rights and constitutional prescriptions.

Mr Dhankhar also called for massive uplift on these counts for the success of the BGBS and to pave way for investment.

He wondered as to why performance card of the BGBS was being “withheld” by the Mamata Banerjee Government and stressed on uplift of governance of the Mamata Banerjee Government on count of human rights and rule of law to pave way for investment.

Mr Dhankhar also sought full exploitation of investment opportunities in the state.
