Lalu Prasad visits AIIMS, complains little discomfort in chest
New Delhi : Rashtriya Janta Dal chief and former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav consulted a panel of doctors at AIIMS, New Delhi after he complained of a little discomfort in the chest area on Wednesday, officials told UNI.
Yadav consulted senior doctors from Cardiology and Nephrology department and was sent home later, they added.
The doctors made a few changes to Yadav drug prescription during over an hour visit to the hospital. “He was attended in a room in a private ward of the hospital,” a doctor who consulted Yadav said.
The RJD supremo has been suffering from multiple health issues. He has received treatment at the apex institute for several months after developing a kidney disorder.
Yadav was last admitted to AIIMS in January this year after he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Edema, a condition when excess fluids get collected in the lungs.
The 72-year-old politician was flown to Delhi after his condition deteriorated while receiving treatment at a Ranchi hospital.
The former union minister is out on bail after he was convicted in the fodder scam. He had been serving in jail since December 2017 and received bail in the case recently in April this year.
