BJP office bearers meet to discuss upcoming assembly polls

New Delhi : A meeting of the office bearers of BJP is being held at the party headquarters, where BJP leaders would discuss the upcoming assembly polls in five states, along with other issues.

BJP president JP Nadda is chairing the meet, which will chart the future course of action in the poll-bound states, and is also likely to discuss the ongoing farmers’ agitation.

Poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, where the western part of the state is witnessing farmers’ protests, is likely to be among the major issues. BJP sources said they are confident of victory in the state, where Samajwadi Party has emerged as the main challenger for BJP and Congress has also intensified its ground work for the upcoming polls.

India’s fight against the Covid 19 pandemic and the vaccination drive are also expected to come up.

BJP celebrated the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17 as ‘Seva Divas’ and a 20-day drive to organise Covid-19 vaccination and blood donation camps across the country was started,

Party general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh, national general secretary Arun Singh and Dushyant Gautam, who is also the incharge for Punjab and Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh incharge Radha Mohan Singh, Goa incharge CT Ravi are among attending the meeting.

A meeting of the national executive of the party is scheduled for November 7, while a meeting of the Kisan Morcha of the party is to be held October 30.
