Vigilance raid at residence of retired superintendent of the Odisha State Warehouse Corporation
Balangir,Jul 8 : Vigilance raided the house of Ganapati Purohit, the retired superintendent of the Odisha State Warehouse Corporation, Thursday morning on allegations of non-revenue assets. Four vigilance teams continue to raid four locations in the city, including the Balangir Palace Line alongwith Sambalpur, Bargarh, Balangir and Sonepur.
The vigilance teams, led by Balangir Vigilance DSP Sadananda Pani, continued the raid. Vigilance raids also took place in two houses on the palace line, one in Rajendra Pada and one in Khatbahli village under the Sadar block.
Ganapati Purohit retired as the Acting Superintendent of the Titilagarh Odisha State Warehouse Corporation in May last year. He has been accused of embezzling millions of rupees from the warehouse corporation. Vigilance had earlier raided Ganapati in 2009.
