Bhubaneswar : With people switching to electric vehicles, Odisha government has announced subsidy on the purchase and use of the vehicles in the segment of two wheelers, public or shared vehicles and goods carriers.
According to the Electric Vehicle Policy 2021, which was approved by State Cabinet on Friday, the State government will provide 15 percent subsidies on each purchase of electronic vehicles. While subsidy of Rs 5,000 will be provided on the purchase of two wheelers, subsidy of Rs 10,000 will be provided in case of three wheelers. Similarly, subsidy of Rs 50,000 will be provided on purchase of four wheelers.
In case of the purchase of electric buses, the government will provide a subsidy up to Rs 4 lakh for AC Deluxe buses and Rs 2 lakh for non AC-Bus.
