Bhubaneswar : Hence forward Sub Inspectors will head the Police out posts.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved a proposal in this regard. Earlier ASI were in charge of Police Out posts.
As per the decision SI will head 216 out posts . Sub Inspectors would be given appointment in outposts under the Commissionerate of Police, district Police and the Railways.
Taking to twitter Odisha DGP Abhay said ‘’ we are deeply grateful to @Naveen- Odisha for creation of 216 posts of SIs to head police outposts. Our outpost functioning will improve n we will be able to serve people better.’’.
