SAINIK SCHOOL SETS BENCHMARK
Odisha: Carrying the Swarnim Vijay Mashal from martyr’s memorial, Sainik School in Bhubaneswar commemorated 50th Swarnim Vijay Varsh paying tribute to the martyr’s of 1971 India-Pakistan war. The slogan of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, Bande Mataram resonated through the air infusing patriotism amongst one and all.
Presiding the meet, Principal S. Dominique Rayan welcomed the Mashal in presence of Chief Guest IAS Satyabrata Sahu, Princ. Secy. of School and Mass Education and dignitaries including NCC DDG Commodore Somen Banerjee, Air Marshal J. N. Verma, CBSE Regional Director K. Sreenivasan, Air Commodore T. K. Rath, Brig. L. C. Pattnaik, who attended the event creating a patriotic fervor as they shared their experiences wishing all cadets on the occasion.
The all-boys Sainik School has set a benchmark, as for the first time 10 girl cadets got admitted for the current academic session (2021-22). A choir group presented the patriotic song reverberating the surroundings and a skit was flawlessly enacted on battle of Basantar.
A narration stressing on 1971 Indo-Pak war reflecting role of armed forces and respected PVC recipients was spellbinding.
