Renewed SOP released for Puri Jagannath Temple
Puri : The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Friday released a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for implementation at Puri Srimandir to keep the Covid-19 infections at bay.
The SOP has been issued for the residents of Puri city only.
As per the latest SOP, it is not mandatory for the locals of Puri to produce the fully vaccination certificate while entering the temple.
Special tokens will be given to the people in all the 32 wards and they can show it along with Aadhaar cards while entering the 12th-century shrine, SOP notification read.
Earlier, SJTA informed that Puri Srimandir will open from August 16 while the darshan for devotees will begin from August 23.
However, all devotees will get darshan from August 23 but Puri locals will be able to come come to the temple for darshan from August 16 to August 20. Due to the weekend lockdown in the city on August 21 and 22, there will be no darshan of the holy trinity, SJTA said.
