Odisha: Three officials suspended as villagers alleged corruption in developmental projects

Bhubaneswar : Three officials including a junior engineer were suspended for their alleged involvement in irregularities in various developmental projects of Jari panchayat under Binjharpur block of Jajpur district.
Jajpur district Collector Chakravarti Singh Rathore today suspended Junior Engineer Tushar Patra, Panchayat Extension Officer Prakash Jena and a Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS).
The Collector’s action came after the villagers staged a protest in front of the panchayat office alleging large-scale corruption in several projects of the village.
The Collector said the three officials were suspended after a probe. Further inquiry is on and action will be taken against these officials based on the inquiry report.
