Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Friday recorded 986 fresh cases of Covid-19. Among the new cases reported 128 are between the age of 0-18 years. A total of 70,079 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and the test positivity rate (TPR) stands at 1.40%.
Out of those fresh cases,
574 are in quarantine
412 are local contacts
Total number of positive cases in Odisha now stands at 999173.

on the other hand a total of 69 Covid-19 patients, who were under treatment in different hospitals, succumbed to the deadly Covid-19 disease, informed the Health & Family Welfare Department on Friday.
With addition of 69 more fatalities, the Covid-19 death toll in the State stands at 7,223.
Jagatsinghpur reports the highest Covid deaths in the last 24 hours (12), followed by Cuttack( 11), Dhenkanal(8), Bhadrak and Jajpur (6 each), Angul, Khordha and Kendrapara ( 5 each), Puri (4), Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar ( 3 each), Nayagarh ( 1).
