Panaji: Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Friday asked women to vote for a party which thinks for them and works to protect their interest.
Interacting with tribal women at Morpirla village in South Goa, she said,’ ‘Solution to all the problems that you have raised lies in changing the government. The present government is not working for the people, it is working for itself and its business friends.’
‘There are no facilities for cashew growing, and the local MLA does not do anything about it. Getting water, having good schools, and proper roads are your rights and you will get them if you choose the right government. You will have to be awakened,’ she said.
Priyanka Gandhi asked the people to vote for a party which works for the people. Without naming the Trinamool Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), she said many parties have come to the state without realizing what they have done in their own states. ‘There is so much pollution in Delhi that people are finding difficulty in breathing,’ she said. ‘You will have to think which party is better for you. I hope you will vote for the right party,’ she said.
