Ban on International flights extended till January 31

DGCA stated, “In partial modification to the earlier order, it has been decided to extend the suspend the scheduled international commercial passenger flights to and from India till January 31.”

However, it stated that the restriction would not be applied to the international cargo operations and flights approved by the regulatory.

Earlier, it was supposed to start on December 15, but keeping in view the rising cases of Omicron, the government has planned to keep it on halt.

India has formed air bubble pacts with around 32 countries, including the US, the UK, the UAE, Kenya, Bhutan and France, under which special international flights can be operated by their airlines between their territories with specific restrictions.
