Vinoo Mankad Trophy: Delhi, AP and Odisha register victories

Chandigarh : Delhi defeated Bihar by nine wickets (VJD method) in the Inter-State Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy at I.S. Bindra Cricket Stadium, PCA Mohali.

Bihar won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 134 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 45 overs before the rain interrupted the match. Sraman Nigrodh (22 runs off 96 balls) and Aditya (29 runs off 69 balls) were the main scorers for Bihar.
For Delhi, Siddharth Beniwal took 3 wickets for 12 runs while Divij Mehra (37/2) and Shaur Malik (8/2) took two wickets each.
In reply, Delhi chased the target in 21.2 overs for the loss of only one wicket. With this victory (VJD Method), Delhi garnered four points while Bihar got zero. For Delhi, Yash Bhatia scored 58 runs off 45 balls, Aditya Chaudhary remained not out on 28 runs off 56 balls and Yash Dhull not out on 40 runs were the main run getters. Kavya Ved took 1 wicket for 30 runs and was the most successful bowler for Bihar.
Uttar Pradesh CA VS Andhra CA
Andhra Cricket Association prevailed over Uttar Pradesh by 10 runs (VJD method) in the second match played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur (Punjab).

Andhra won the toss and decided to bat first. Andhra scored 161 runs all out in 39.4 overs. K.S. Raju 26, K. P.Ananth Karthikeya 47, were the main run getters for Andhra. Vipraj Nigam took 4 wickets for 36 runs, Nirdesh Baisoya 4 wickets for 35 runs were the most successful bowlers for UPCA.
In reply, U.P.CA. were all out for 154 runs in 41.3 overs. Shivam Gautam 63 runs off 105 balls, Swastik 20 runs off 48 and Vasu Vats 26 runs off 11 balls were the main run getters.
For Andhra, G.Samanvith 2 wickets for 26 runs, M. Deepak took 3 for 33 and T.A. Hemanth Kumar 2 wickets for 36 runs were the main wicket takers.
Andhra won by 10 runs (VJD method) and garnered 4 points while UPCA got zero.

Odisha vs Chhattisgarh
Odisha beat Chhattisgarh by three wickets at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh won the toss and decided to bat.
Chhattisgarh scored 148 runs all out in 42.2 overs. Mayank Yadav 23 runs off 28 balls, Deepak Yadav 31 runs off 49 and Vasudev Bareth 33 runs for 59 were the main run getters for Chhattisgarh. For Odisha, Niranjan gouda, Sushil K. Barik, Saideep Mohapatra and Shresth Singh got two wickets each.
Replying, Odisha scored 145 runs for 7 in 38.2 overs and won the match by 3 wickets (VJD method) and garnered 4 points while Chhattisgarh got zero. They were helped in their cause by Dinesh K Majhi 40 runs , Sandeep Mohapatra 26 runs .
For Chhattisgarh, Deepak Singh took 2 wickets for 30, Ayush Singh took 2 wickets for 21 runs were the main wicket takers.
