Kolkata : International Master Mitrabha Guha representing West Bengal has clinched the National Senior title by scoring 10 points in the 11 rounds play, which was organised by the All India Chess Federation from July 26-28.
Altogether, 242 players including 13 Grandmasters, 2 Women Grandmasters and 28 International Masters, took part in this the championship which was held online due to Covid restriction.
Mitrabha scored 10 points ( 9 wins, 2 draws) out of 11 rounds, and remained undefeated. He finished a full point ahead of other competitors.
He is the 3rd from West Bengal to clinch the National Senior Title after Dibyendu Barua and Surya Sekhar Ganguly, according to Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha secretary Tushar Chatterjee.
