New Delhi : Parliamentarians on Friday paid floral tributes to former prime minister
Rajiv Gandhi on his 77th birth anniversary.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury paid floral tributes to the former prime minister in the Central Hall of Parliament House.
Among others who paid floral tributes were several Members of Parliament and former Members of Parliament. Lok Sabha Secretary-General Utpal Kumar Singh also paid floral tributes.
The portrait of Rajiv Gandhi was unveiled by the then President, Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma, in the Central Hall of Parliament House on August 20, 1993.
