Monsoon knocks on national capital doors after a long wait

Normally, it arrives by June 27, and covers the entire country by July 8.Heavy rains were experienced in many areas in Delhi from 0700 hrs to 0830 hrs with Safdarjung recording 2.5 cm, Ayanagar 1.3, Palam 2.4 cm and Ridge 1.0 cm.
