Mamata to meet Aditya Thackeray and Sharad Pawar in 2022

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said her visit to Mumbai is basically to address a meeting of the industrialists there and invite them to attend
the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) to be held in April, and then will meet Aditya Thackeray, son of Maharastra chief minister and NCP supremo Sharad Pawar during her 3-day tour.

“I have been asked to address a meeting of the young industrialists there and also invite them to attend our Bengal Global Business Summit to be held in April (20 and 21) and had intended to meet her Maharastra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray during the trip but he is now in hospital and the medics are not allowing anyone to meet him fearing infection,” Ms.  Banerjee told the reporters at the city airport before boarding the Mumbai flight.

Ms. Banerjee said she has some scheduled programs there like visiting Shiddhi Vinayak mandir, Police Memorials meeting with the civic society and then meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Wednesday. Ms. Banerjee said, “Since her Maharastra counterpart UIddhav Thackeray is not well and meeting him does not arise due to medical reasons, his son Aditya Thackeray would visit
her at the hotel and meet her.”
