Panaji: The Congress on Thursday released the first list of eight candidates for Assembly elections in Goa which is expected to be held early next year.
As per a statement issued by party’s Central Election Committee Incharge and General Secretary Mukul Wasnik, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat is a candidate from Margao, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Vice President Sankalp Amonkar from Mormugao, Goa Congress Working President Aleixo Reginaldo Lurenco from Curtorim, Yuri Alemao from Cuncolim, Altone D’Costa from Quepem, Tony Rodrigues from Talegao, Rajesh Verenkar from Ponda and Sudhir Kanolkar from Mapusa.
Congress is the first party to announce the name of the candidates in the state.
