Islamabad, Dec 24: In an unfortunate event, a four-year-old-girl, riding a motorbike with her father, in Pakistan lost her life as she was accidentally shot during a shoot-out between suspected robbers and a security guard of a shopping complex, media reported on Friday.
According to Dawn, six armed men in three motorbikes entered a minimart in Karachi’s Shah Latif town, took the security guard hostage at gunpoint.
The shootout between them started when the guard was able to injure one of the robbers after he managed to get back his gun.
However, during the shootout, a motorbike was caught in a crossfire. One of the bullets hit the girl, who was riding with her father, on her head, a police official said.
The injured girl was rushed to the hospital but she succumbed to her injuries, he added.
