New Delhi, Dec 28: Tamil film director Arun Vaidyanathan on Tuesday announced that he has tested positive for the COVID -19.
Vaidyanathan revealed that he contracted the virus during his recent trip to the US. He joked that despite traveling extensively in India at several crowded places he was not infected but he tested positive when he went to the US, he wrote on Facebook “I went to Khumb Mela, Did shoot for 28 days with 160 ppl on sets….went to Varanasi and Bodh Gaya….but once I came to US, I tested positive Covid is like a masala film – No logic!,”
Vaidyanathan has directed popular films like Achchamundu! Achchamundu!, Peruchazhi and Nibunan.
He is among the growing list of celebrities who contracted the virus after returning from a foreign trip. Recently, comedian Vadivelu had tested positive for Covid-19 after returning to Chennai from London.
Critically acclaimed actor Kamal Haasan had tested positive for coronavirus after returning from a US.
