Mumbai, Dec 15: The Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur-starrer “Jersey” dropped romantic song ‘Baliye Re’ on Wednesday just days ahead of its release.
The song is composed by Sachet-Parampara, penned by Shellee and sung by Sachet Tandon, Stebin Ben and Parampara Tandon.
“This one wants to make me move. Super groovy…Presenting the next song of our film #BaliyeRe…#Jersey, in theatres 31st December 2021!” Shahid tweeted.
The sports drama written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, is a remake of his 2019 Telugu film of the same title. The film also stars Shahid’s father and veteran actor Pankaj Kapur.
The movie chronicles a talented but failed cricketer, who decides to return to the sports in his late thirties driven by the desire to represent the Indian cricket team and fulfill his son’s wish for a jersey as a gift.
The film is produced by Allu Entertainment, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments and Brat Films.
The film will release in theatres on December 31 coinciding with New Year.
