BYJU’S scraps SRK from its ads

Mumbai: Following the arrest of Aryan Khan by the Narcotics Control Bureau, the Indian multinational educational technology company BYJU’S has temporarily removed Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan from all its advertisements.

According to a report from Business Standard the company has removed Khan from its ads after its social media followers criticized the start-up brand for endorsing ads comprising Shah Rukh Khan as its brand ambassador.

Shah Rukh Khan has been the brand ambassador of the Bangalore-based start-up since 2017.

Sources reveal that he receives around INR 3-4 crore as part of his annual fee for being the face of this educational brand.

So far, there has been no official statement from the company in relation to this.

Meanwhile, Aryan Khan continues to be under judicial custody after his bail was denied on Friday.
