Session 2022-2023: NCERT To Lighten NCERT Syllabus
New Delhi: Schools in the country were closed for a long time due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, while the cases of infection are once again seeing a spurt. The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) has decided to lighten the NCERT Syllabus for all classes for the academic session 2022-23.
NCERT is going to cut the syllabus due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Large cases of infection have also been reported in many schools, due to which schools have also been closed. NCERT has decided to reduce the syllabus and syllabus for the next year for all classes as the new National Curriculum Framework (NCF) may take time to come out.
The Heads of Departments of NCERT have been asked to submit the latest report by December 28, 2021. As per reports, the director has also been directed to send the syllabus for the academic session 2022-23 along with the revised proposed changes for publication. The decision to “lighten” school textbooks for the 2022-23 session has been taken in view of the struggle of students in learning through online and other modes.
NCERT in-charge Sridhar Srivastava said that we are currently in the process of preparing the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). Because of this, it may take some time for the books based on NCF to arrive. Also said that NCERT needs to work in a phased manner for the upcoming session in order to improve the studies of the students quickly.
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has extended the date to apply for Doctoral Fellowship. The doctoral fellowship is meant to promote and conduct research at the doctoral level. A notification has also been issued in this regard by NCERT. According to this notification, the last date to apply for NCERT Doctoral Fellowship has been extended till January 15, 2021.
