Schools For Class 6 and 7 from this 15

    Odisha: School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Wednesday said that schools for Class 6 and 7 students will be reopened from November 15. The physical classes will be conducted while strictly following all the COVID-19 protocols, said Dash.

He further aid that the concerned department will release the timing of the commencement of classes soon. “We are yet to take a decision regarding reopening of schools for classes 1 to 5,” he informed. As per the official notice, “The teaching hour for Class-VI & Class-VII students will be from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. (out of which, 3 (three) hours will be used for teaching) excluding Sundays and Public Holidays. The students are allowed to attend classes either on Online mode or Offline mode in consultation with their parents.”

“Attendance is not mandatory for students in Offline mode. The Hostels are also allowed to open and the Head of the Hostel should ensure that the common area like Mess and Toilet is maintained and sanitized properly with regular interval,” it added.

All the DEOs/ADEOs/BEOs/ABEOs/BRCCs/CRCCs have been directed to visit all the schools well-before to ensure that cleanliness of class rooms including bench, desks and sanitization. Minister Dash had on Sunday informed that the schools for classes 1 to 7 will be reopened in a phased manner while looking at the Covid situation.
