E-lectures portal set up undergraduate students in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Jul 8 :Amidst the pandemic when e-lectures are popular among youth , higher education Minister Arun Kumar Sahu made it publicly accessible for undergraduate students.

“Students and faculty will be able to get free services through e-lectures,” he said. The virtual tutorial project was launched in 2017 under the National Higher Education Campaign. A total of Rs 60 crore was provided by the central and state governments in the ratio of 60:40 for this project.

A dedicated studio has been set up at the Utkal University Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education to prepare e-lectures on various subjects for undergraduate students. To make it easier for students. e-lectures are prepared which will be available on https://vtputkal.odisha.gov.in, a special portal developed by NIC.

For the moment, e-textbooks of Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Politics, Oriya, History, English, Psychology, Commerce and Economics of the first and second semesters have been prepared and uploaded to the web portal. The remaining 11 semesters will be uploaded in a timely manner. E-lectures on other subjects will be prepared at a later date.
