One of the arrested is Sushant Behera(32), a property agent and resident of Cuttack district, Odisha. The other ambergris runner is Manoj Sharma(40) of Varanasi, UP, says a senior cop-man of Thane.
Including this arrest, more than 5 cases have been reported of ambergris smuggling from states such as Mumbai, Thane of Maharastra; Chenna and Thrissur district of Kerala in the year 2021.
