Ferozepur, Dec 26: Once again foiling the nefarious attempts of anti-national elements to smuggle contrabands in Punjab, the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans on Sunday recovered 40 kg of heroin, worth Rs 200 crore in the international market, from two separate places in Ferozepur sector.
Alert jawans heard some sound near border fencing in the area of responsibility of the Ferozepur sector. On search of the area, 22 packets of contraband items suspected to be heroin, weighing approximately 34 kgs, tied inside two pieces of cloth were recovered.
In another instance, BSF jawans recovered another six packets of contraband suspected to be heroin, weighing approximatley six kgs, from the Ferozepur sector.
