Hyderabad : The accused, who allegedly raped and killed a six-year-old girl, was arrested by the Police in Yadadri district of Telangana on Saturday.
The accused Raju was taken into custody at his native Addaguduru village in this district and was being shifted to Hyderabad for inquiry.
The body of the victim who went missing on Thursday was found in the house of the accused in Singareni colony here on Friday.
The incident triggered outrage among the residents of the colony who staged a protest on the Sagar road for more than seven hours yesterday prompting the intervention of Hyderabad District Collector L Sharman, who promised a two bedroom house and a job for the victim’s family.
He also handed over a cheque for Rs.50,000 as an immediate relief.
