Sensex Marginally Up 19 Points

Mumbai,  The BSE Sensex on Tuesday rose marginally by 19 points to 54,490.38 in the opening session as buying was seen in FMCG, Finance and Telecom stocks. The Nifty declined 7.55 points to 16,294.30.

The Sensex registered the days high and low at 54,309 and 54,644 points respectively. The Nifty registered the days high and low at 16,243.50 and 16,197.85 points respectively.

The Mid cap fell 0.77 per cent and Small Cap by 0.35 per cent. In 30 scrips, 17 advanced while 3 declined. The gainers were Bharti Airtel by 1.86 per cent to Rs 725, Ultracemco by 1.61 per cent to view 6328.05, Hind Unilever by 1.56 per cent to Rs 2148.45 and Maruti Suzuki by 1.36 per cent to Rs 7459.25. The losers were Titan by 2.07 per cent to Rs 2137.45, Bajaj finance by 1.35 per cent to Rs 5978 and Sun Pharma by 0.64 per cent to Rs 879.70.
