That was devastating for the family of Rizwan, who was chased by the death in a very shocking note. Rizwan, a Swiggy delivery staff fell to death when barked and chased by a German Shepherd dog of the person where he was to deliver the consignment.
That was a shattering blow for the family and Rizwan was toiling hard to run the family and more importantly take care of his ailing father who always prayed for Rizwan to make him a proud father.
It was at the Lumbini Rock Castle on the Banjara hills in Hyderabad where the tragic incident took place and in his bid to escape the ferocity of the deadly pet, Mohmd Rizwan had that nasty fall and then death.
He was hardly 23, who had quit the college to support the needy family and working as a delivery boy. Imagine the pain of the ailing and elderly father who was literally dependant on Rizwan’s strength, was crying for hours and still is inconsolable. Rizwan died on January 14 at NIMS.
With that one story ends and the long ordeal of Rizwan’s family starts. Who feeds them now, who would procure medicines for the ailing father and so many questions lurk.
Do the family deserve a good compensation from the company, Swiggy. Yes, it does, is the common voice that emanates from Banjara Hills. Even the flat owner where he had gone to deliver has a moral duty on this matter.
Had they leashed such unpredictable pets properly then Rizwan’s tale of sorrow would not have been scripted today.
“Swiggy should be morally responsible to make a compensation and we are making all efforts from our side to press upon the company to pay”, said Srinivas Reddy, a member of the Congress party and social activist told Mobilenews24x7.com over phone.
“In my view the pet owner is one of the main characters in the tragedy behind Rizwan’s fall” Reddy added
Reports suggest that, police in Banjara Hills has filed an FIR under three sections but so far no arrest has been made.
Whether he jumped deliberately to escape the dog attack or fell off, but it was established from the short CCTV footage that, he had been chased by the dog.
But, how come the Swiggy silent so far ?
