Lucknow : Former Allahabad High Court judge Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava was on Thursday been appointed as the head of a single member Judicial Commission to probe the Lakhimpur Kheri violence of October 3.
Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Awasthi in a order on Wednesday night said that Justice(Redt) Pradeep Kumar Srivastava would probe into the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.
As per the terms and reference of the judicial probe, the headquarters of the judicial Commission will be in Lakhimpur Kheri and the commission would complete its probe in two months time.
