San Juan, March 17: Karolina Bielawska from Poland won the Miss World pageant on Thursday (India time) in Puerto Rico, while Manasa Varanasi of India managed to be part of the Top 13 at the event here after being delayed since 2020 due to Covid-19.
Indian-American Shree Saini from the US emerged as the first runner-up, followed by Olivia Yace from Cote d’Ivoire as the second.
The 23-year-old Polish model and student was crowned the winner at the Coca-Cola Music Hall here by the outgoing Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica. Varanasi failed to make it to the Top 6 at the late Wednesday event here.
Taking to Instagram, Miss World posted:Â “Karolina is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Management and would like to continue her studies with a PhD. Karolina also works as a Model. One day she hopes to become a Motivational Speaker.”
In 2017, actor Manushi Chillar was crowned Miss World. Three months back India’s Harnaaz Sandhu became Miss Universe 2021, and the crown came back to India after 21 years.
