Bhubaneswar, Sep 30 : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday launched the cyber safety awareness campaign to sensitise people about cyber crimes.
As many as 34 cyber safety Rathas will tour various schools, colleges and Panchayats across the state from September 30 to October 15 and sensitise people about cyber safety..
The decision to launch the campaign was taken as the incidents of cyber crimes has significantly risen in the country as well as in the state during the last few years.
The Chief Minister appealed to people to remain alert and safe.
In this campaign the district adminstration in each district will welcome the cyber safety awareness rath. Everyday awareness programme will be conducted in atleast two educational institutions.
In addition to it awareness programme will also be organised in various crowded places in block and police station areas. Quiz competition will be organised among students.
On October 8 , Mini Marthon will be organised and on October 14 evening walk will be organised to educate senior citizens.
The valedictory function will be organised on October 15. District level officers, Padma awardees, freedom fighters and eminent people will be roped in to participate in the function.
Panchayat representatives. Members of the Mission Shakti, officials of the school and mass education department , Higher education department, Panchayatiraj department and officers and employees of I & PR department will remain present and cooperate for the smooth conduct of the function.
