Jajpur: A medical officer along with a security guard was arrested by the Odisha Vigilance in Jajpur district for allegedly taking bribe.
Dr.Pabitra Kumar Sethi, LRT, Medical Officer, Danagadi CHC and Abhiram Kandi, Security Guard have been apprehended by the Vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.20,000 from a complainant for issue of post mortem report of his father who died recently on 31.3.2023 due to lightning.
The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized from Dr Sethi, the Vigilance informed.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Dr.Sethi from DA angle.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance P.S Case has been registered. Investigation is in progress against the accused Dr.Sethi and Kandi, the Vigilance added.
