‘Morbius’ Final Trailer Hints At Multiverse Link

Los Angeles, March 2  A new trailer of ‘Morbius’ shows some clear links to the new ‘Spider-Man’ and the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. The latest entry into the MCU, “Morbius” has seen its fair share of pandemic related delays, but now “the Living Vampire” can be halted no longer. Sony releasing its latest trailer for the movie set to hit theatres on April1, showed greater insight into the persona of the anti hero giving shots of his fully fanged and vampirical self. Starring Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, it appeared Morbius has some connection to the multiverse, given Michael Keaton’s appearance in the final trailer.

A funny thing here is that Micheal Keaton now seems to have become the unofficial key to unlocking the multiverse, whether it be his role in DCEU’s upcoming “The Flash” where he is reprising his role as Batman from the Tim Burton films set in an alternate reality, or now in Marvel where he is acting as the means of connecting “Morbius” with the rest of the MCU. Starring as Adrian Toomes/ Vulture from Spider Man: Homecoming, Toomes tells Morbius that he has been “given a gift” and further tells him “to let go of what he used to be, and instead discover who he is meant to be”.

However, his exact connection to the multiverse is not yet known as to whether he will star in the next Spider Man movie or in another Tom Hardy “Venom” flick. The trailer shows Morbius discovering his new self and possibly letting his bloodlust take over, accepting his new vampire self. Michael Morbius is a biochemist who in an attempt to cure his rare blood disease accidentaly afflicts himself with vampirism and now possesses superpowers and is dealing with blood thirst. The movie will release on April 1.
