“Time Can Never Be The Same, Ever” A Prophesy From A Man Who Never Gives Up Being Pragmatic

During the first outbreak of Covid-19, the entire world heard the rants about a war-cry against the virus, back in Odisha, a man had prophesied that “time can never be the same, ever”. And it was the chief minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, who like his father, propelled an apprehension that has become true today.

Life cannot be the same, a foretelling initially faced contrarian views as several experts from several hue betted that, the virus can be handled and mitigated with medical measures, gears and so on.

There were many sweeping narratives which refused to grant a space for the foreboding signs those grew underneath.

It was at the start of the first wave and subsequently also, Naveen Patnaik stuck to his insight which he predicted two years back and till date he keeps telling people that, ‘nothing is over yet’.

May be, some had paraphrased the take of the Odisha CM as merely a poeticization of the situation from a place of position but, the leader in question never ceased to ring the warning bells.

“Time can never be the same” remained ingrained an all his connects with the people, either virtually or physically. Yet, elsewhere, including in other countries, it was thought to be a lack of generosity of vision to say what Patnaik had told in the beginning of the outbreak.

First wave over, then came the second one. Medical sciences all across tried hard yet scrambled for wits. Sometimes it became a fabulous confusion. And it still remains so.

Not to be economical with the truth, despite his prophesy of a changed reality, he had never stopped of steps at a concerted battle against Covid-19.

Rather he was appreciated by none other than the prime minister of India for dealing with such a disabling infection, striking the world at such a speed, in advance.

It was a striking blend of prophesy and pragmatism which, perhaps, drove the chief minister not to give up at any point. And this is no politics.
