Naveen Patnaik Condoles Loss of Lives Due To Nor’wester In Malkangiri; Announces Rs 4 Lakh Ex-Gratia
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed his deep condolences on the death of four persons due to Norwester in Malkangiri district.
The Chief Minister has also declaration an ex-gratia assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of each deceased, to be provided by the Special Relief Commissioner. Four persons had died in two separate accidents in Malkangiri district yesterday due to Kala Baisakhi winds and rain.
It is worth mentioning that two people had died when a boat capsized in Satiguda Dam in Malkangiri due to Kala Baishakhi and in another incident, two people died when an under construction wall of the air strip collapsed. The Chief Minister has also directed the officials to provide quality medical care free of cost to the injured persons.
The Chief Minister also expressed his deep grief over the death of two students who drowned in Aryapalli beach in Chatrapur block of Ganjam district yesterday and announced a financial assistance of Rs. 4 Lakhs to their families.
